Recovering Device Drivers

OSDI '04 Abstract

As I had gone to school, I have read the this paper. This paper's content is about that recovering device drivers whithout kernel's falut. Proposed method is shadow driver which records communications between kernel and original driver. That is like database's error recovery method. But I think that shadow driver is a very ad-hoc method. Frankly, My opinion is that It is an impractical method. But I have resprect to effort.
